As one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients, we deliver value from mine to market: Through mining phosphate and potash, we produce high-quality fertilizers and animal feed, then market and deliver our finished products — about half to customers in North America, and half to customers around the world, including those in all key agricultural regions. MicroEssentials® is a proprietary fertilizer specially formulated for use on most crops. Through Mosaic’s proprietary Fusion technology process, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) and zinc (Zn) are fused into a nutritionally balanced granule, creating a single source for balanced crop nutrition.

The uniform nutrient distribution provided by MicroEssentials ensures product is delivered evenly across the field, providing crops an adequate chance of taking in key nutrients for season-long nutrition. By reducing the pH around the granule, the unique chemistry of MicroEssentials promotes interactions that improve nutrient uptake of P, S and Zn (in the case of MicroEssentials® SZ®). In addition, MicroEssentials combines two forms of S, sulfate and elemental sulfur, in every granule to ensure S availability throughout the growing season. Sulfate sulfur satisfies seedlings’ needs for early-season growth, while elemental sulfur is available later in the growing season. Ultimately, the use of MicroEssentials results in gained efficiencies, maximized yields and increased profitability.

MicroEssentials is available in three distinct formulas, each tailored to meet the unique nutritional needs of specific crops and soil conditions.

• MicroEssentials S15® contains nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur (13-33-0-15S)

The Fusion technology process combines vital nutrients into one uniquely formulated, nutritionally balanced granule. It ensures uniform nutrient distribution across the field and improved nutrient uptake.

MicroEssentials has demonstrated improved yields across a variety of crops and soil conditions. Third-party, independent research is available for corn, soybeans, canola, wheat, sugar beets and rice. Some retailers and farmers have explored using MicroEssentials on other crops as well with on-farm success.

With over a decade of proven performance, MicroEssentials SZ has demonstrated a 7.2 bu/ac increase compared to MAP and an 8.8 bu/ac increase compared to DAP when applied to corn.
